Hello! My name is Martha Gonzalez. I love teaching, and have been doing it for going on 18 years.
I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from UT PanAm in 2002.  While in College I worked in Mexico teaching English as a second language, so when I graduated I decided to get my teacher certification through the alternative program.  I started working that same year at PSJA teaching 2nd grade.
In 2003 I came to Sharyland. My first 5 years in Sharyland I worked with the New Comer program.  I worked at O. Garza Elementary for three years teaching 6th and 4th grade. I transfered to Shary Elementary for 1 year, and continued teaching 4th grade.
I joined the Shimotsu familiy in 2007 when it opened its doors. I taught 4th and 5th grade New Comers that first year.  The following year I was able to work with Mrs. Gutierrez for the first time as part of 3rd grade. I then had the opportunity to go back to my favorite grade level, sixth, in 2009 and have been enjoying teaching 6th and 7th grade math ever since.
