Coach Erickson
Hi! I'm Coach Erickson and I love working at Shimotsu!
I have worked for Sharyland ISD for six years serving in many different roles.
I have been a substitute teacher, academic tutor, first grade teacher, computer lab manager,
and am currently the assistant coach at Shimotsu Elementary.
I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan. I spent several years teaching middle school math in Flint, Michigan before moving to the RGV with my husband in 2009. I taught middle school math in McAllen ISD for 2 years before taking a break to stay home with my sons while they were young.
Once my boys started school here at Shimotsu I was reminded how much I missed teaching,
and made it my goal to join the wonderful Shimotsu staff family.
