Hello,
My name is Lisa Hinojosa, and the Rio Grande Valley has always been my home. From a young age, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. Life took a different turn, and after starting college, I paused my studies to work in retail, eventually becoming a store manager. While I enjoyed my job, I always felt something was missing. Driven by the passion for teaching that never left me, I returned to school and graduated from the University of Texas at Pan Am in 2001.
Today, I am a proud Pre-K teacher at Shimotsu Elementary, where I've had the pleasure of working for the Sharyland School District for the past 23 years. Teaching Pre-K is incredibly rewarding; witnessing the transformation in young children as they grow from barely holding a pencil to beginning to read and writing by the end of the year is nothing short of amazing.
I've been married to a wonderful man for 34 years, and together we have three beautiful daughters: Janell, Gabrielle, and Nicole.
If you need to reach me, you can contact me through Remind or email me at
[email protected]. My conference time is from 12:00-12:45 in Room 104.
Best regards,
Lisa Hinojosa
