My name is Ms. Melissa Molina and I am very excited to have the opportunity to share with you and your child in his/her 3rdGrade experience. Because I will be getting to know your child very well this year, I wanted to share with you a few things about myself, both personally and professionally.
This will be my 18th year of teaching and my 19th year at Shimotsu Elementary. I received my B.A. from The University of Texas Pan American and my M.S. Degree from Walden University.
Teaching is something that I do whole-heartedly and realize that you are entrusting me with a treasured possession...your child. My goal as a teacher is to motivate and encourage your child to reach his/her highest abilities. I teach with a hands-on approach. I believe if a child hears he will forget, if a child sees he will remember, and if a child does, he will understand. I believe that every child CAN do it. I am looking forward to having fun with your child as we prepare for his/her next step in education.
My teaching philosophy is this, I teach children more than how to read or write, I encourage and build them up to be the best that they can. I will respect and give your child my full understanding, and in return, I expect the same from your child.
I am looking forward to an exciting 2024 - 2025 school year. I will do my best to make you feel a part of your child's 3rd Grade experience by keeping you informed weekly on what is going on in our classroom. Please feel free to call me at school, (956) 583-5643 or email me if questions or concerns arise. You are the most important person in your child's life, and by working together, we can ensure that your child's 3rd Grade experience will be filled with wonderful memories
that will last a lifetime!
