Hello! I'm Mrs. Guzman, 6th grade teacher at Shimotsu Elementary. I am a sponsor for Student Council, and a Yearbook member. There is nothing I love more than being in the classroom and establishing a social emotional environment in my room. I believe that every student in my class is there for an important reason, and that is my daily reminder of why I show up every day.
Being a Sharyland graduate, helped me as a teacher in preaching what the school district expects from students. I love encouraging students to excell at everything by doing their best and trying hard. UTRGV made me take a glance at what other districts offer, and I have to say... Sharyland is the BEST!
